El Celler de Can Pere hosts a charity dinner to raise funds for scientific research led by CSIC researcher Priscila Monteiro Kosaka, focused on developing a test for early detection of cancer through a simple blood sample. An evening that combines gastronomy, commitment and support for a pioneering project at national level.
Solidarity menu (donation: 75 €)
Starter: Christmas soup
Main course: veal or pork round with grilled vegetables
Dessert: greixonera with vanilla ice cream and caleta coffee
Drinks included: water, soft drinks, beer and wine
The Elena Torres Association continues to promote actions to finance this research, which is already in its fourth phase and carrying out tests with real samples in hospitals throughout Spain. Since 2015, the organization has raised 600,000 € thanks to events like this one and the collaboration of citizens.
