American gymnast Simone Biles, one of the most successful athletes of all time, surprised her followers by revealing that she decided to undergo surgery. The 28-year-old athlete, who has accumulated 11 Olympic medals and 23 world titles, told on her social networks that she has undergone three cosmetic interventions.
It all started when the Olympic champion issued a challenge on TikTok, asking her followers to guess what changes she had undergone: “I’ve had three plastic surgeries. Two of them you could never guess,” she laughingly commented.

In her public revelation, Simone Biles explained with complete sincerity the three aesthetic procedures she recently decided to undergo. The gymnast told that she had a breast augmentation, a lower blepharoplasty (to remove bags under the eyes) and a reconstruction of one of her earlobes.
“I had horrible bags under my eyes,” Biles confessed when explaining the reasons that led her to undergo surgery. She also related that when she was younger she suffered a small accident with an earring that tore her earlobe, which finally led her to repair it. The sportswoman spoke naturally about these interventions, assuring that it was a personal decision and not related to her professional career.
A champion who prioritizes her well-being
Beyond her aesthetic decision, Simone Biles has demonstrated in recent years that her physical and mental health are her priority. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she decided to withdraw from several competitions after suffering a mental block, a decision that marked a before and after in the global conversation about emotional health in sport.
Married since 2023 to Jonathan Owens, player of the NFL’s Chicago Bears, the gymnast recently assured that she is in a period of rest, although without completely giving up gymnastics.
At an event held in Argentina, he explained that “physical health must be at the same level as mental health” and left open the possibility of participating “in some way” in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
