The historic reality show Gran Hermano returned to television with its twentieth edition and a total commitment to renovation. After 25 years, the program left behind its iconic Guadalix de la Sierra residence to open a new house in Tres Cantos, which marks the beginning of a new era in the Telecinco format.

Substantial changes to the new season of Big Brother
The premiere was hosted by Jorge Javier Vázquez and Nagore Robles, who debuted as a couple of presenters with complicity and energy. From the new facilities, both welcomed the 20 contestants who will star in the most famous coexistence of television.

The oasis and the first turns of the contest
The oasis debuted as the first great mystery of the program: there Rocío (Desirée’s friend), Noah (Sofía’s girlfriend) and Cristian, a former contestant who had been discarded at first, began their adventure. The three of them thought they were out of the game, until Gran Hermano told them that they were actually official contestants, a news that the rest of the participants still do not know.

This trio was joined by Sofia, who starred in a fake expulsion organized by Jorge Javier and decided by the inhabitants of the oasis: this maneuver, typical of the unpredictable spirit of reality TV, set the tone for an edition that promises constant twists and unexpected alliances within the house.
Appointments, punishments and first strategies
The program closed its inaugural gala with a collective surprise: all the contestants were nominated, except Edurne and Íñigo, who achieved immunity thanks to the challenge of “the egg”.
In return, they must spend the week disguised as birds and sleep in a hut in the garden, a peculiar punishment that also guarantees them to be saved from the first expulsion.
With its new format, renewed scenarios and a casting full of explosive personalities, Gran Hermano 20 promises to recover the essence of the most emblematic reality show on Spanish television, but with a more modern dynamic and great surprises for the show’s loyal followers.
