Eivissa Town Hall will join this year’s commemoration of the International Day of Flamenco with a musical proposal that promises to fill the stage of the Espai Cultural Can Ventosa with art and emotion. Under the title ‘Vereas Flamencas’, the concert will take place on Sunday, November 16, at 7 pm, and will bring together leading performers of the genre in a show designed for all audiences.
‘Vereas Flamencas’, an artistic route through Andalusia
The show will feature performances by Manuel de Lola, Álvaro Sarabia, Antonio López and José Ángel Muñiz, who will offer a musical and visual journey through the different Andalusian provinces. Through song, dance and guitar, the artists will invite the public to discover the richness and diversity of flamenco, one of Spain’s most recognized cultural treasures.
The title of the concert, ‘Vereas Flamencas’, alludes precisely to the paths – the “veredas” – that unite the different traditions and styles of flamenco art, from the deep rhythms of the south to the most festive and luminous melodies.
A tribute to Spain’s intangible heritage
The Councilor for Culture and Heritage, Carmen Domínguez, said that with this initiative the City Council wants to “pay tribute to one of the most representative cultural expressions of the intangible heritage of Spain, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO“.
Domínguez also stressed that the aim is to bring the essence of flamenco to the Ibizan public, promoting interest in a tradition that combines history, emotion and art in its purest form.
Tickets and access to the show
Tickets to attend the concert are already on sale at a price of 12 euros on the official website of the Town Hall of Eivissa: https://culturaentradesonline.eivissa.es/par-public/rest/entrada/6542616.
With this event, Ibiza joins the celebration of flamenco, an art that transcends borders and continues to conquer hearts through its strength and rhythm.
