Four migrants recently arrived in Formentera were arrested on Wednesday after entering a house in the area of Es Caló at dawn and stealing clothes, shoes and personal belongings, as confirmed by the Civil Guard. The events occurred between 4:00 and 5:10 a.m., when the men – who had arrived hours earlier in a patera to the Lesser Pitiusa – broke a window, entered the property and fled when they were discovered by one of the residents.

The complainant, who testified in the morning, recognized the alleged perpetrators from photographs, which allowed their arrest when they had already been transferred to Ibiza and were in the custody of the National Police, responsible for the immigration procedures. The four detainees, all men of Algerian origin, were taken to court on Thursday.
Another group consumed food on a nearby terrace
The Guardia Civil also confirmed that another group of migrants accessed the terrace of a house in the same area of Es Caló in the early hours of the morning, where they consumed food and drinks from outside the house. No formal complaint has been filed for these events, although the agents have taken note of what happened.
Toni Mayans, owner of another property, quoted by , explained that while he slept several of the newcomers took the opportunity to eat and drink from a cooler outside, without entering the house.
