The City Council of Ibiza has announced that this Thursday November 20 will begin the work of pruning the trees on Avenida d’Ignasi Wallis, in the section between Carlos III and the traffic circle of sa Real. The action will be carried out by the Department of Gardens and will last, foreseeably, until Friday.
Diversions and restrictions to minimize impacts
In order to ensure safety during the intervention and minimize the inconvenience to drivers, the operation has been coordinated with the Local Police of Ibiza, which has established several temporary traffic detours.
During Thursday 20 and Friday 21, or until the end of the works, the traffic exiting through Ignasi Wallis will be diverted through Pere Francès street.
On the other hand, the entrance to the avenue will be redirected through Mariano Llobet Román street, a measure that will not affect buses or emergency vehicles, which will be allowed to maintain the usual access.
Programmed actions to improve the tree grove
The City Council has recalled that these pruning tasks are part of the regular maintenance of urban trees, necessary to ensure safety, promote the proper growth of the species and improve the aesthetics of the environment.
