Lidl has kicked off its early Black Friday and one of the items that is arousing most interest among consumers is the OSRAM V16 connected beacon, a device that will soon be essential in all vehicles in Spain. Its price of 29.99 euros, one of the lowest on the market, has caused the product to be sold out at the moment on the supermarket’s website, although it is still available in physical stores.
The countdown to the mandatory introduction of these beacons – which are due to replace the triangles from January 1, 2026 –has triggered demand. And in this context, Lidl has once again come up with one of the most outstanding bargains of the campaign.
One of the cheapest beacons on the market
The OSRAM V16 beacon marketed by Lidl comes with a 45% discount, which makes it at a price that is difficult for other distributors to match. In addition, it complies with all the regulations of the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), an essential requirement for the device to be valid when the obligation comes into force.
The beacon incorporates an integrated eSIM card, whose function is to automatically and completely anonymously transmit the location of the damaged or immobilized vehicle to the DGT 3.0 platform. This connectivity will allow the emergency signal to reach the traffic information systems without the driver having to get out of the car, which significantly increases safety.
The device offered by Lidl also includes a magnetic holder, a battery indicator and a simplified on/off system, designed to act quickly in risky situations. Installation requires no tools or technical knowledge: simply rest the beacon on the roof of the vehicle and activate the switch.
A product that sells out quickly
High demand has caused the stock in Lidl’s online store to fluctuate constantly. The supermarket even allows users to register their email address to receive a notification when it becomes available again. In the meantime, however, the beacon can be purchased in physical stores, where new supplies continue to arrive.
The imminent entry into force of the DGT regulations and the strong competition between brands has generated a booming market for V16 beacons, with constant sales and models that sell out in a matter of hours.
The alternative if you can’t get the Lidl beacon
Those who cannot get hold of Lidl’s offer have another possibility through Amazon. The platform sells the
With Black Friday in full swing and regulations in sight, interest in these connected beacons will continue to grow over the coming weeks. Lidl’s OSRAM has already become one of the star products of the campaign and, at the current rate, will continue to be one of the most sought-after items before 2026 arrives.
