Ibiza redoubles its MICE strategy at the IBTM World 2025 fair in Barcelona

The island attends the world's leading trade fair for congress and event tourism with its largest-ever participation, with the aim of strengthening its international positioning and moving towards seasonality

The Consell d’Eivissa is once again participating in the IBTM World 2025 fair, held in Barcelona from November 18 to 20, to consolidate the island as a reference destination in the MICE -Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events- field and increase its presence in the international congress and incentive travel market.

A stand of its own and the largest business delegation in its history

This year Ibiza has its own 103.5 m² stand in the Europe pavilion of the Fira de Barcelona, which brings together 22 co-exhibitors, the highest number ever achieved by the island in this professional event. Hotels, venues, event organizers and incoming agencies will be taking part.

Co-exhibitors include the Palau de Congressos d’Eivissa, FECOEV, Teatre Pereyra and hotel chains such as Invisa Hotels, Hotel Torre del Mar & Convention Centre, Ibiza Gran Hotel 5 GL, THB Hotels, Sirenis Hotels & Resorts, Hyde Ibiza, Insotel Fenicia Prestige Suites & Spa, W Ibiza, Hotel Mongibello, ME Ibiza Hotel, Hotel Riomar, Cala San Miguel Resort by Hilton and 7Pines Resort Ibiza, as well as the agencies Island Hospitality, Well Deserved and The IMI Group.

Key meetings to attract international business

The Ibiza Convention Bureau shares space with the Department of Tourism Promotion of the Consell, which has scheduled 38 professional meetings with specialized operators, travel agencies and event organizing companies from the main European and American markets.

IBTM World is considered the world’s leading trade fair for business tourism, with 12,000 participants and more than 2,300 international exhibitors. In the 2024 edition, more than 73,000 business meetings were held, 23% more than the previous year, and forecasts for 2025 confirm the growth of the MICE segment.
