The Port Authority of the Balearic Islands has reported that, between June 1 and September 30, the port of Ibiza recorded a 14.76% decrease in the entry of vehicles compared to 2024, following the implementation of the new access limitations approved by the Consell de Ibiza.
In total, 185,886 vehicles were landed, compared to 218,071 in the same period last year, down 32,185 vehicles.
The largest decline was concentrated in August, when 13,691 fewer vehicles were recorded than in 2024, followed by July, with a reduction of 9,239 vehicles. These figures are also below the records of 2022 and 2023, years that presented high peaks of entry, including the record of August 2022, when 70,429 vehicles were recorded , according to Noudiari.
In contrast to the summer drop, the APB indicates that April 2025 recorded the highest number of vehicle entries in that month since records have been kept, with 44,694 units, almost 7,000 more than in April 2024. This increase coincides with the start of the tourist season and the arrival of temporary workers.
The published statistics incorporate for the first time the effects of the limitation of non-resident vehicles established by the Consell de Eivissa, which set a quota for cars and motorcycles without tax domicile on the island and kept the limit for the rental fleet at 16,000 units.
