Jondal will take this month an unprecedented step in its international expansion with an exclusive pop-up during the weekend of the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix, as confirmed by the organization to La Voz de Ibiza. The Ibizan brand, one of the most influential gastronomic spaces in the Mediterranean, will operate for four days at the Waldorf Astoria Lusail Hotel, one of the most powerful luxury enclaves in Doha.
A debut in conjunction with the official launch of the GP
The activation will begin on Thursday, November 27 with a joint event with Formula 1: a dinner reception with music that will serve as the official launch of the Grand Prix.
According to the organization, this is a milestone for Jondal: “It is the first time we do a pop-up with Formula 1. Thursday will be the official event with F1, a reception-dinner in the evening”.
After that debut, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30, Jondal will replicate its usual Ibiza proposal in daytime format: Mediterranean product cuisine, fresh fish and the relaxed style that characterizes the most famous beach bar in Cala Jondal.
A Jondal “by day”, in the open air and without leaving the hotel
The entire project will be developed exclusively inside the Waldorf Astoria Lusail, in its outdoor area next to the beach. “Jondal will operate as it does in Ibiza: only during the day and in the area outside the hotel. Not inside the building, but in an outdoor area next to the coastline,” they explain.
There will be no presence at the Lusail circuit, but the experience will be centered in the luxurious surroundings of the hotel, where most of the VIP guests are usually concentrated during the GP.

A one-time activation, with no future plans with F1
The organization stresses that this collaboration is, for now, punctual: “At the moment we have no future plans with Formula 1 or with the Middle East. It is a concrete activation for this weekend”. For now, there are no confirmed projects for 2026 or new Jondal openings outside Ibiza.
Jondal, from Ibiza to the international showcase
The move reinforces the growing international projection of the Ibizan brand, which in just a few years has established itself as one of the Mediterranean benchmarks of relaxed luxury: tables on the sand, high-level product cuisine and an atmosphere associated with the premium clientele that visits the island every summer.
Its presence in Doha during the Formula 1 weekend places Jondal in a scenario of maximum global visibility, in a country that concentrates tourism with high purchasing power and that turns each Grand Prix into an international platform for luxury brands.
Qatar GP 2025: a key date in the final stretch of the calendar
The Qatar Grand Prix 2025, to be held from November 28 to 30 at theLusail International Circuit, will be one of the last rounds of the World Championship and will come at an important moment for the definition of the championship. It is not just another race: it is the penultimate date of the calendar, when the margins are already minimal and every point can decide final positions.
The 5.4-kilometer, 16-turn Lusail track is known for its night lighting and for offering fast races with high tire wear and a lot of strategic weight. The weekend program will be as usual:
-
Friday: free practice
-
Saturday: classification
-
Sunday: race
The event has a strong international presence, with a significant number of VIP guests and fans traveling expressly for this final part of the championship. In this context, the presence of the Jondal F1 Lounge at the Waldorf Astoria Lusail Hotel will be integrated into the hospitality offer that accompanies the Grand Prix, bringing a Mediterranean stamp to one of the most intense weekends of the year for Formula 1.
