The Minister of Labor, Public Function and Social Dialogue, Catalina Cabrer, met this Friday with the IB3 works council in an appointment to advance the integration agreement of more than 300 workers of the autonomous radio and television, the second meeting between the Government and staff to finalize the text of the pact.
According to the Conselleria, work has been done on a draft and the Directorate General of Civil Service will study the latest input from the committee before sending a revised proposal.
At the same time, IB3 is finalizing the classification of the workforce into the approved professional categories, a procedure that is at an advanced stage.
A conflict of months
The move comes after months of conflict over the application of the internalization pact signed in December 2024 for more than 300 employees from subcontractors, which has led to strikes, work stoppages and protests over the new job descriptions (RLT) and the harmonization of working hours in the public entity.
Looking ahead to the next few weeks, the works council demands that the Government set a clear timetable to close the integration and the new RLT, with guarantees on remuneration, stability and professional career within the entity. The unions insist that the agreement must avoid “first and second class workers” at IB3 and warn that, if the commitments made at the negotiating table are not fulfilled, they do not rule out resuming the demonstrations that have already taken place at the regional broadcaster, as they have recalled in previous calls.
