A fire last night in a detached house in the area of Benimussa, in the municipality of Sant Josep, has completely burned the terrace of the house, as reported by the Fire Department of Ibiza. The fire broke out suddenly when the flames came out of the chimney pipe and immediately ignited the exterior structure, although no injuries were reported.
The warning came at 7 p.m., after the neighbors and the owners tried to control the flames without success. An initial team of five firefighters went to the scene with a fire truck and a rapid response vehicle.

Due to the evolution of the fire and its increasing intensity around 9:00 p.m., it was necessary to incorporate a heavy pump and two additional personnel, which ensured a constant supply of water to extinguish the fire.
The operation also involved agents of the Local Police of Sant Josep and the Civil Guard, responsible for securing the perimeter and facilitate the work of emergency crews. Although the terrace was completely destroyed, the firefighters managed to prevent the flames from reaching the interior of the building. No personal injuries were reported.
