La Cursa de Sa Sobrassada once again turned Santa Gertrudis into the epicenter of island athletics on November 22. The traditional race, one of the most awaited of the sporting calendar of Ibiza, brought together athletes of all ages in a festive atmosphere and with a participation that once again consolidated the prestige of the event.
The day began at 4.30 p.m. with the children’s categories, which opened the program before giving way to the half marathon relay. In this modality, the teams had to complete a total distance of 21,097 meters, a format that once again attracted numerous athletes and clubs of the island.

In the absolute female category, the victory went to Susana Noelia Gloria Sevillano Pérez Tejado, who won with solvency over her rivals. Second place went to Mercedes Ana Bella Laura Mayor Castaño Planells, while Isa Roxana Aroa González Leguiza Manzano completed the podium after a solid performance.
Among the youngest, the protagonist was Xavi Olcina, winner of the children’s race. He was followed by Antony Gonzalez, who secured the second position, and Jose Antonio Bonet Serra, who closed the podium.
In the mixed half marathon, the victory went to the team formed by Kiko Juan and Claudia Tur Díaz Calbet, who set the best time of the circuit. Second place went to the duo María Victoria Esteban – Pablo Abrate de las Heras Fernández, while third place went to Jordi Marine – Antonio Planells – Lini Ferrer, authors of a great comeback.
In the absolute male category, first place went to Cristian Carlos Carlos Josep Josep Gómez Pérez Torres, who dominated the race with authority. Second place went to Jesús Manuel José Antonio Sánchez Martín Planells, while Christian Jordi Nacho Torres Clabet Ribas took third place.
With a vibrant atmosphere and a participation that continues to grow, the Cursa de Sa Sobrassada closed another edition consolidating itself as a benchmark of popular sport on the island.
