The Ibiza Town Hall continues to make progress in the municipal plan of resurfacing, which on Tuesday 25, will begin a new phase with the works planned in the promenade Joan Carles I and La Mola street. These actions are in addition to the works that are already being carried out in Ceramista Joan Daifa street and are financed by Pla 5 2025 of the Consell Insular de Ibiza.
Progressive improvements in the main roads of the municipality
The Consistory resumed last September 3 a new stage of this plan, which aims to improve the condition of the streets and improve road safety. The first works were carried out on Vía Púnica, with the start of the works from Joan Xicó, and on Vía Romana, in the block located next to the same area, on September 8.
Once these initial sections were completed, work continued on the Vía Púnica to the end of the road and then on the Vía Romana, moving forward from Avenida de España.
A plan designed to minimize inconvenience
The third deputy mayor and councilor of Works, Blanca Hernández, stressed that this resurfacing plan “is significantly improving road safety in the municipality”. Hernandez recalled that the works have been planned to generate the least possible impact on residents and drivers, establishing detours and traffic warnings whenever necessary.
A municipality in transformation
With these actions, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to the progressive renewal of public space and the improvement of urban mobility. The works planned for the coming days will affect high traffic roads, such as Paseo Joan Carles I, one of the busiest roads in the municipality.
Work will continue over the next few weeks according to schedule, with the objective of completing the plan on schedule.
