The ex-partner of a man convicted of having sexually abused a 15-year-old girl in Ibiza will appear before the Spanish courts after having gone to another country after denouncing his ex-partner for sexual abuse of their minor son.
As explained by the woman’s lawyer in a statement, his defendant is in another country with the son she had with the accused. The woman is currently under international search and arrest after having fled Ibiza with her son after having denounced her ex-partner for sexual abuse of the minor.
The lawyer has assured that in the complaint they attached medical reports that pointed to a possible indication of sexual abuse of the son, who was three years old at the time. However, he adds that the complaint was filed within 48 hours, without any examination of the child, nor any investigation, and forcing his client to hand over the child to the father.
For this reason, the woman is currently on the run from Spanish justice. According to the lawyer, the 2nd examining court of Ibiza has omitted any analysis of the facts, confirming the maintenance of the international arrest warrant, a fact that is now pending resolution by the Provincial Court of Palma.
The lawyer has stated that the woman will make herself available to the Spanish justice system to make a statement on these events with the express desire that, after the background information provided, justice will be done for the minor and for herself and that her freedom of movement and rights will be restored.
Condemnation
In January 2024, the woman’s ex-husband accepted a two-year prison sentence and a disqualification after confessing to having sexually abused a 15-year-old girl while she was getting a tattoo in Ibiza. In addition to the prison sentence, the man was disqualified for seven years from exercising any activity involving regular contact with minors and, in particular, from tattooing minors.
The incident took place in July 2021. The man admitted that, while he was tattooing the victim with one hand, he was touching her with the other.
