2025 will go down in history as one of the most decisive years for electronic music in Spain. With packed festivals, clubs in top form, national artists on the global circuit and a new generation embracing club culture, the return of the Vicious Music Awards (VMA) will be the great celebration of a scene at its best. After more than 15 years of trajectory, the VMAs resume their mission to highlight and honor the talent that sustains the industry: DJs, producers, promoters, creatives, festivals and clubs.
Throughout its previous editions, the VMAs have awarded referents such as Paco Osuna, Óscar Mulero, Cora Novoa, Fatima Hajji, DJ Nano or Andrés Campo, as well as great projects such as Dreambeach, Sónar or Monegros. Iconic clubs such as Ushuaïa Ibiza, Fabrik or Razzmatazz have also been protagonists, in galas held in emblematic spaces such as Teatro Capitol or Teatro Kapital itself. Top international artists such as Oliver Heldens, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati or Apolloniahave also written part of the prestige of these awards.
The Kapital Theater, epicenter of the big night
The iconic Kapital Theater filled up again on Wednesday, November 26th to host a particularly significant edition. Its choice as venue recaptures the essence of the most remembered galas and symbolizes the balance between tradition and avant-garde that defines the Spanish electronic scene. In this edition, in addition, the Beatport platform presented two special awards, reinforcing the international impact of the VMAs.
