The Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council has formalized the purchase of the historic premises occupied by the bank Sa Nostra, located at the junction of Sant Jaume street and Passeig de s’Alamera. The acquisition, valued at 1,200,000 euros and carried out by public auction, will allow the Consistory to strengthen its administrative capacity in the heart of the urban center of the municipality.
The property, of 390 square meters, will be used for new municipal offices with direct attention to the public. The City Council explains that the lack of administrative space and the need to reorganize some services -some of them in offices that require refurbishment- have been determining factors to take advantage of a purchase opportunity that they consider “unique” in the city center.
The premises are in good structural condition and in a strategic location, surrounded by institutional and cultural facilities. According to the Consistory, its immediate incorporation into the network of municipal facilities will improve accessibility for users, avoid unnecessary travel and move towards a more efficient and sustainable service model.
The councilor of Finance, Miguel Tur, stressed the strategic value of the operation: “Given the lack of public space in the city center, this acquisition not only responds to our current needs, but will also provide a better service to citizens”. Tur emphasized that the property will facilitate the internal reorganization of municipal services and will strengthen the management capacity of the local administration.
