The Eivissa Clàssica 2025 Festival celebrates its fifth and penultimate concert this Friday, December 5, at 8 p.m., with an intimate and deeply personal proposal: ‘Solo Guitar’, the solo project of guitarist Mar Sánchez. The event will take place in the cultural space of Can Ventosa, where the public can enjoy a sound experience focused on the guitar as an expressive vehicle.
The recital brings together original compositions that will be part of the artist’s next album. These pieces are born from a dialogue between influences as diverse as J. S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Jimi Hendrix, creating her own musical language that fuses classical tradition, popular elements and an experimental vision.
Original works that pay tribute to great referents
The program includes titles such as Saturn first revolution, Full moon por bulerías, Prelude to Shostakovich, Estrella de la mañana, Taranta a mi abuelo, Little wing – Homenaje a J. Hendrix, Arenas de Soledad and Free Impro around E minor. Through these pieces, Sánchez traces a journey that connects his artistic identity with references from different periods and styles.
The proposal is presented as a close and careful recital, designed so that the audience can delve into the nuances of the solo guitar and the sensitivity with which the performer builds each work.
