The collapse of a building site in the urbanization Valverde, in Santa Eulària des Riu, has left this Thursday two people injured and has mobilized an extensive emergency device.
As reported by the Health Area of Ibiza and Formentera, one of the affected is a 53 year old man of Senegalese nationality, who was treated by the health services at the scene of the accident and later transferred to the Hospital Can Misses. He remains under observation in the Emergency Department, stable within the gravity, and is being treated for polytraumatisms.
For their part, the Ibiza Fire Department has confirmed that they also rescued another man from the rubble, who suffered only minor injuries to one of his feet, but did not require urgent transportation.
At the scene of the incident, firefighters of Ibiza, agents of the Local Police of Santa Eulària, members of Civil Protection and an ambulance of 061 have been displaced.
For the time being, further assessments are not ruled out while emergency crews continue to secure the area and the causes of the collapse are being investigated.
