Bad weather arrives to Ibiza and Formentera: this will be the weekend of rains and thermal decrease.

The weather will take a remarkable turn in Ibiza and Formentera from Friday, when the arrival of a new influx of wet and colder air will put an end to the calm of recent days. According to the Aemet, the Pitiusan archipelago will face a weekend marked by rain, wind and a general decline in temperatures.

Transition Thursday with fog and a stable atmosphere.

Thursday will be the last respite before the changeover. The day will start with fog banks during the early morning and early hours of the morning, especially in inland areas. As the day progresses, the fog will give way to low clouds, with no precipitation expected. Temperatures will be between 12 and 17 ºC, with a very light wind from the north, leaving a stable atmosphere in the afternoon.

Friday: rains gain ground

The change will come on Friday, when the probability of rain will increase progressively. In the early hours it will be around 35%, but in the afternoon it will reach 90%, with moderate and persistent showers in some parts of the Pitiusas. Temperatures will range between 10 and 18 ºC, accompanied by wind from the east around 15 km/h, which will reinforce the feeling of instability.

Saturday: rainy morning and more wind

The instability will continue on Saturday, especially during the morning, when more frequent precipitation is expected. In the afternoon, although the probability of rain will decrease, some isolated episode is not ruled out. The thermometers will be between 11 and 17 ºC, but the wind from the northeast, which will reach about 20 km/h, will leave a lower thermal sensation.

Wet Sunday with a slight recovery of temperatures

Sunday will prolong the unstable environment. The probability of precipitation will be around 65%, with a still humid scenario and very cloudy skies. Temperatures will rise slightly, with highs of 18 ºC and lows of 11 ºC, accompanied by a moderate wind from the east, around 15 km/h.
