Defected has unveiled the space that will host its long-awaited season in Ibiza in 2026, marking a new chapter for the brand. The British label will take control of Thursday nights at Chinois, located in the heart of Marina Ibiza, a club that fits its musical philosophy based on sound quality, proximity to the public and a strong community vocation.
The residency will run from May 7 to October 8, for a total of 23 weeks with a program that will cover the best of house music, from new talents to established figures of the genre. Defected is thus committed to an environment that prioritizes the shared experience between DJ, music and audience, in line with a more cultural and sustainable vision of contemporary clubbing.
For its quality: as a ring to the finger
The CEO of Defected Records, Wez Saunders, has highlighted that Chinois offers “the sound system, the design of the space and the approach to the public” necessary for the music to be the real protagonist. According to Saunders, this alliance allows to evolve without losing the essence of the label, betting on a proposal creatively aligned with the future of the brand and with the historical values of Defected in Ibiza.
From Chinois, co-founder Danny Whittle has highlighted the natural connection between the two brands, recalling a collaboration of more than 25 years with Defected on the island. For Whittle, the label’s audience demands excellence in sound and atmosphere, a philosophy that has defined the club since its opening and that makes this union “a perfect match” for the summer of 2026.
On the occasion of the announcement, Defected and Chinois have launched a limited promotion of tickets at 30 euros, available until January 6, as early access to one of the residencies that is already shaping up to be one of the most relevant movements of the Ibizan season 2026.
