A brutal beating, which occurred a few streets away from the Port of Ibiza, was recorded in a video of more than seven minutes that began to circulate among citizens of the island.

The scene took place at night, in the area of passages and bars near the TAMIB of Ibiza, a usual pedestrian traffic environment. The recording begins with three people on the ground, in the middle of the sidewalk. From that moment on, the situation quickly escalated into a continuous aggression, with blows and kicks directed against one of the men who remained lying down.
The violence is not punctual. It goes on for minutes, is briefly interrupted and then resumes again, always with the victim in a position of clear inferiority. Several people take turns taking part in the aggression, while others stand around witnessing the scene without the blows ceasing.
In another section of the video, the aggression moves to the roadway. Two other men end up on the ground and are beaten in the middle of the street, while the tense atmosphere continues amid shouts, threats and reproaches.
“You almost blinded him.”
The video does not reveal what caused the confrontation. However, the audio provides relevant elements. Among the shouts, one of those present can be heard reproaching: “You almost blinded him!”, directed at two of the men on the ground in the middle of the street.
At another point, a young man insists: “Show your face!”, while a person tries to approach and film one of those involved head-on, apparently with the intention of obtaining identifiable images.
These reproaches and gestures suggest that at least two of the assailants are accused of having caused serious injuries to another person in the group, although the video does not show the moment at which these alleged injuries occurred, nor does it allow us to confirm this.
Violence and threats
Throughout the sequence, several people witness the events from a short distance. Some intervene verbally, others observe, but
Towards the end of the video, a man who does not appear in the images suggests calling an ambulance, a proposal that is rejected with shouts of “No!” by another person present. The reproaches and threats continue as the different groups begin to disperse.
La Voz de Ibiza has contacted the Local Police of Ibiza to confirm if they were aware of the facts and if any police or medical device was activated in the area, but so far no official response has been received.
