A seven year old boy would have lived for months a hell of domestic violence in Palma, marked by physical assaults, insults and threats allegedly committed by his own mother during periods of shared custody. The facts have been reported to the National Police, which is investigating the case.
According to the complaint, the episodes were repeated systematically in the family home, located in a popular neighborhood of the Balearic capital. During the days in which the woman was in charge of the child, the verbal and physical aggressions were common, even to the point of uttering insults and serious disqualifications against the child, according to OKBaleares.

The child was also allegedly threatened to keep silent about what was happening in his mother’s home, fearing further aggression. “A misfortune could have happened”, the complainant pointed out, alluding to the seriousness of the situation experienced by the child.
The case came to light thanks to the testimony of one of the woman’s other children, aged 12, who warned of the existing climate of violence. Following the complaint, the judicial authority issued a restraining order prohibiting the mother from approaching or communicating with her son for 30 days, under threat of provisional imprisonment if she fails to comply with the measure.
