The Diverespai, the children’s Christmas fair in Ibiza, opened its 26th edition this Thursday at the Eivissa Fairgrounds. The event, aimed at children up to 12 years old and with a specific space for teenagers, will remain open until January 3.
The opening ceremony was attended by the president of the Consell de Ibiza, Vicent Marí, who stressed the consolidation of Diverespai as one of the most outstanding family proposals of the Christmas holidays. “This fair has become one of the most anticipated activities of Christmas in Ibiza, offering a safe space where children can enjoy all the options designed for different ages,” he said.
The enclosure has 5,000 square meters dedicated to leisure, with inflatables, craft workshops and games for all ages. The Diverespai will be open morning and afternoon, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, except on December 31 in the afternoon and January 1 in the morning, when it will be closed.
The Councilor for Youth of the Consell de Ibiza, Marilina Ribas, explained that this year the space aimed at teenagers has been reinforced. “The inflatables and workshops are still attractive, but there comes a time when they need their own space,” she said.
In this youth area you can find proposals such as virtual reality games, escape rooms, dance games, sports activities and board games, an offer “more varied and adapted to their interests and age”. Among the most outstanding activities are two escape rooms, one of them with a Harry Potter theme, as well as foosball tables, ball targets and other recreational activities.
Ribas recalled that last year it was decided to expand the offer for teenagers, an initiative that had “a great reception”, which is why this year has been renewed and incorporated new activities. “Teenagers need there to always be new things,” he added.
As for the influx, the councilor has indicated that in recent editions the Diverespai has registered between 11,000 and 12,000 attendees, taking into account the use of season tickets.
Tickets are priced at 2 euros per child and session (morning or afternoon), while the all-day pass, at both times, costs 10 euros. Admission for accompanying adults is free.
