The airline EasyJet begins to outline its schedule for the peak tourist months to Ibiza with the announcement of a new air connection from London Southend airport. The route will be operational from April 26th and will have two weekly frequencies, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, thus strengthening the connectivity of the island with the British market for the summer season.
According to the company, the flights are already available for booking, as are the vacation packages to Ibiza offered by EasyJet Holidays from this east London airport. The new connection is part of the airline’s strategy to expand its network of destinations to some of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK country manager, highlighted that the launch of this route represents an expansion of travel options for customers in the region. “With this new route and packages to Ibiza now available to book from London Southend Airport for next summer, we continue to offer our customers even more choice and access to Europe’s best-loved destinations at fantastic prices,” he told The Sun.
London Southend Airport itself has also celebrated the announcement. Nigel Mayes, the terminal’s business development manager, underlined Ibiza’s appeal to British travelers. “Ibiza is a favorite of our 8.2 million travelers: it attracts party-goers, culture enthusiasts and those looking to relax,” he said.
