Ara Malikian ‘s concert in Ibiza, included in his show ‘Intruso’, has led the Consell d’Eivissa to modify the ticket sales system.
In view of the high demand, the institution has decided to bring forward the online marketing of the tickets that were initially reserved for the box office on the day of the event.
The sale of these tickets will be activated at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9 through the official websites of the Consell d’Eivissa and eivissacultural.es. The purchase links will only be available from that moment on.
Planning change due to high demand
Initially, this quota of tickets was planned to be sold directly at the box office on the day of the concert.
However, the forecast of a high influx of public has led the organization to opt for advance sales. In this way, it seeks to avoid queues and accumulations at the entrances to the fairgrounds and facilitate a more orderly entry.
The Consell stresses that this measure will improve the experience of attendees and speed up access to the site.
A very different format from the summer concert
Beyond the sales system, the show that now comes to Ibiza is also a notable change from the performance that Ara Malikian offered last summer on the island. That event took place in a reduced format, with the violinist accompanied only by a pianist, in the surroundings of the Antiga Comandància and the Walls.
On this occasion, the Lebanese artist will perform in front of 1,000 people at the Recinto Ferial, with a larger format, a different repertoire and the full band that accompanies him on the ‘Intruso’ tour. The doors of the enclosure will open one hour before the start of the concert, at 20.00 hours, to facilitate a staggered and orderly access of the public.
Intruso’, music without borders
The show ‘Intruso’ goes beyond a conventional musical proposal. In this project, Ara Malikian transcends the limits of classical music to merge his virtuosity with sounds of popular music and different traditions of the world, resulting in a personal and avant-garde proposal that breaks with the conventions of the genre and connects with very diverse audiences.
In addition to the artistic aspect, ‘Intruso’ raises a reflection on universal issues such as identity, belonging and the need for community. Through collaborations with artists from different cultures, Malikian invites to build bridges between societies and to reflect on the place of each individual in the world, in a message of unity and mutual understanding in a global context that the artist himself defines as “increasingly divided”.
