The City Council of Sant Josep de sa Talaia will launch from January 12, 2026 the second edition of the workshops to accompany parenting, an initiative aimed at families with children between 3 and 7 years that will take place in the Municipal Offices of Sant Jordi, from 17.00 to 19.00 hours, with the aim of providing spaces for support, reflection and learning adapted to family realities.
The initiative, promoted by the area of Social Action, Family and Equality, seeks to strengthen the educational tools of parents in their daily lives and give continuity to a project that was well received in its first edition, as highlighted by the consistory.
A well-received experience in its first edition
The Councilor for Social Action, Family and Equality, Marilina Serra, stressed that “from the government team we are committed to initiatives that provide real tools to families,” and recalled that this is the second edition of this cycle after the positive assessment obtained last year, both for the participation and the response of the families attending.
Serra pointed out that previous experience showed the need for this type of space, in which the concerns that arise during the different stages of parenting are addressed in a practical way.
Parallel workshops for parents
The program will be developed through simultaneous and parallel workshops aimed at fathers and mothers, a methodology that allows to deepen the experiences, concerns and challenges associated with parenthood from specific and complementary approaches.
This format favors a closer and more personalized accompaniment, adapted to the needs of each family profile, as explained by the City Council of Sant Josep.
Professionals specialized in paternity and maternity
The workshops will have professionals specialized in the field of education and family support. The paternity workshop will be given by Salva Egea, teacher and pedagogue, while the maternity workshop will be given by Espai Crisàlide, a team specialized in accompanying women in the field of maternity and reproductive and sexual health.
The participation of these professionals will make it possible to approach parenting from an integral perspective, combining pedagogical knowledge and practical experience.
Dates, hours and reception service
The sessions will be held on January 12, February 2, February 23 and March 16, 2026, always at the Municipal Offices of Sant Jordi and in the afternoon, from 17.00 to 19.00 hours.
To make it easier for families to attend, the City Council will offer a reception service for children from 3 years old, which must be requested in advance via e-mail igualtat@santjosep.org.
Open enrollment
Those interested in participating can formalize their registration through the online form provided by the City Council of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, available through the usual municipal channels.
The consistory reminds that places are limited, so it is recommended to register in advance.
