The president of the Consell de IbizaVicent Marí, has confirmed, within the framework of the World Travel Market in London, that from March 2025 the island will have six direct air routes to the UK, expanding to 11 in April with the incorporation of major tour operators such as Jet2. These routes are intended to facilitate access for British tourists, especially families, who represent a quarter of UK travelers to Ibiza, and to strengthen tourism in the low season. For March, Ibiza’s hotel offer will also take a significant leap with the opening of 76 hotels, 30% more than in the same month of this year, when 55 establishments operated. Marí has highlighted that the average room price will be around 152 euros, underlining the opportunity to enjoy the island at competitive prices outside the high season.
Promotion and off-season events
During the presentation in London, the Consell organized a meeting with more than 40 travel agents and representatives to highlight the importance of the British market and its loyalty to Ibiza. The event included a video with testimonials from tourists and hoteliers, showing the versatility of the island and its leisure offer throughout the year. In addition, the town councils of Sant Antoni and Sant Josep took advantage of the fair to highlight their offer of events and services for the low season. Sant Antoni presented its initiative as a destination for weddings and honeymoons, focused on British adult tourism, where 40% of visitors are over 35 years old and opt for three- and four-star accommodations. Sant Josep, meanwhile, has emphasized its gastronomy and cultural offer, presenting the new photography contest Sant Josep es Foto, which will be held in April and seeks to attract lovers of photography and Ibizan landscapes.
