Early this morning has arrived a new boat to the coast of Formentera with 15 immigrants of North African origin. As reported by the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands on Saturday morning, all were in apparent good health. The Civil Guard located the immigrants in the area of s’Estufador. This is the eleventh boat located in the vicinity of Formentera or on land in the last seven days. A skiff has also arrived in the last week in Santa Eulària. The spokesman of the Balearic Government, Antoni Costa, demanded Friday to the state government a change in migration policy to curb the arrival of boats from Algeria to the islands. So far this year have reached the Balearic archipelago at least 4,610 immigrants in 279 boats, according to Efe’s count. Last year 128 boats with a total of 2,278 migrants reached the islands.
