A woman was attacked and stabbed by her ex-partner who then took her own life, in an act of gender violence registered this Sunday in Ibiza. As detailed by the National Police of Ibiza, around 20:20 hours, a patrol attended a woman who had suffered several stab wounds.
The officers assisted the woman who presented several wounds in the thorax, neck and hand, reporting that her ex-partner had stabbed her several times with a knife and that she had fled the scene after the aggression.
Lhe agents requested an ambulance that attended the victim and transferred her to the Can Misses Hospital where she has been admitted for her injuries, although there is no fear for her life.
“Several patrols went to the family home finding the door closed and hearing the cry of a minor from inside, getting him to open the door,” they reported.
The police officers took charge of the child and entered the house. Once inside, they found that the alleged perpetrator of the stab wounds had taken his own life.
The UFAM of the National Police took over the investigation, verifying that there were no previous complaints of abuse and that the woman had separated from her partner a month earlier.
