The Consell de Ibiza has approved this Thursday the budget for 2025 amounting to 144.6 million euros, reflecting, they have said, “the political weight that Ibiza has regained in the Community”, as stated from the institution.
The Councilor for Finance and Economic Management, Salvador Losa, has detailed that, among other items, in 2025 will be signed the contribution of six million of the Govern to implement investments in roads. Thus, the insular institution will receive, at least, 107 million from the Govern between legal financing, agreements, historical debt and funds from the Sustainable Tourism Tax. According to Losa, the personnel chapter will increase by 4.7 percent to 45.1 million euros, contemplating the increase in the salaries of the staff of the Consell and the School of Tourism, as well as the development of the Professional Career, “a commitment of this government team”. The conseller has also highlighted the Municipal Cooperation Plan with three million euros to support municipal housing policies; the creation of the 24-hour crisis center for victims of sexual assault or 12 homes available to Social Services. Losa has highlighted that, in relation to public transport, the users of the T-General will have some bonuses in the ticket price and, among other examples, the airport bus will have a 70 percent discount for these users. The accounts also include agreements with the city councils to sign agreements for the recovery of the Ses Feixes environment or works to mitigate the odors of the landfill, among others.
