The Civil Guard arrested a 34-year-old woman of South American origin as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of abandonment of a minor in the town of Santa Eulària.
The facts date back to the early morning of December 1, when agents of the Guardia Civil of the Santa Eulària des Riu post, received a call from the Central in which a caller alerted of the existence of a minor on a balcony of a house asking for help. Apparently, the five-year-old child had woken up and his mother was not at home. A patrol of the Guardia Civil and the Local Police was dispatched to the scene.
Using a metal ladder, the agents gained access to the balcony where the minor was located, very frightened and agitated.
To locate the mother, the agents made several calls “with negative results”. “While making efforts to locate her, the agents found the woman inside a local nightlife establishment, in an apparent state of drunkenness“, reported the Civil Guard. The woman told the agents that she had been drinking alcoholic beverages inside the house and left it to buy tobacco. For all these reasons, the agents proceeded to arrest the woman as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of abandonment of a minor.
