During the early morning of December 5, two fires have required the intervention of the firefighters. Firefighters of Ibiza in different parts of the island. The fires, recorded in Santa Eulària and Sant Josep, mobilized emergency personnel and left significant material damage, as well as affecting some residents by smoke inhalation.
Fire in a building in Santa Eulària
The first fire broke out at 01:22 hours in a five-storey building located in Sant Llorenç street, in the municipality of Santa Eulària. The flames, which originated in the living room of a house on the fifth floor, caused an intense smoke that forced the medical attention of some residents.
The firefighters acted in collaboration with Emergency 112, SAMU 061, the Civil Guard and the Local Police. In this operation a fire engine, a ladder, a corporal and five firefighters were deployed, who were able to control the situation quickly.
Fire in a house in Sant Josep
Hours later, at 06:17 hours, the troops were mobilized to the road of Verger, in Sant Josep, to extinguish a fire in a house. Two occupants, alerted by the smoke, managed to evacuate the place without injury. The firefighting team ensured the extinguishing of the fire and ventilated the area to avoid risks. One fire engine, one firefighter and four firefighters participated in the operation.
