On November 20, the X International Nightlife Congress and the V National Nightlife Congress (CNON) were scheduled to be held in Valencia, together with the IX Golden Moon Awards Gala. As it was already reported at the time, as a show of solidarity towards those affected by the DANA, the organizers of the events (the International Nightlife Association, the state nightlife association Spain Nightlife, the Valencia Hotel and Catering Federation (FEHV) and the local Valencia Nightlife Association), agreed to cancel these events, announcing on social networks on the same date the winners of the Golden Moon Awards as well as the list of The World’s 100 Best Nightlife. list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024 (headed by Hï Ibiza).. At the same time, the organizations launched afundraising campaign to help those affected by the catastrophe, under the slogan Nightlife Stands With Valencia. In order to reinforce the message of the solidarity campaign, the International Nightlife Association and Spain Nightlife, in collaboration with Trueart Agency and DIDACELLIST, launched yesterday an emotional video clip, produced by Javier Ferrer as a tribute to all those affected by the DANA catastrophe, as well as to volunteers, security forces, emergency and health services who have worked tirelessly to save lives and help those affected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNoYZe7PhsQ Joaquim Boadas, Secretary General of the International Nightlife Association and Spain Nightlife, said: “This tribute in the form of a video clip aims to send a powerful message of hope and resilience, highlighting the nightlife sector’s commitment to Valencia and to all those who have been affected by the tragedy caused by the DANA and, at the same time, to reinforce the solidarity campaign”.
The campaign remains active and people interested in participating can make their donations to the account ES63 0182 2770 9102 0177 9826 that the International Nightlife Association has opened at BBVA, including their name and the message #SOSValencia, although donations can also be made anonymously. Through this solidarity action, nightlife venues in Spain and around the world, DJs, customers, brands linked to nightlife, as well as anyone linked to the sector, are urged to make donations that will go to the Food Bank of Valencia, the Red Cross of Valencia and Caritas Diocese of Valencia.
The solidarity campaign will close at one of the Valencia clubs on the Top 100 2024 list.
The Nightlife Stands With Valencia solidarity campaign will end with the Celebrating Music event , which will take place on December 21st at the Marmarela nightclub in Alicante, one of the three clubs in the Valencian Community that have made it to the prestigious list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2024. Within its nightly program, the prestigious Alicante club will feature the stellar performance of Didacellist, star of the video clip, who will offer an exclusive show with a spectacular staging, accompanied by dancers and renowned artists of the electronic music scene. Leading figures from the music industry are expected to attend the event to support the campaign’s spirit of solidarity and the day promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, life and unity, in a vibrant, supportive and sophisticated atmosphere.
