The Ibiza Local Police carried out this Friday an operation that generated momentary tension in the neighborhood of Sa Penya. What initially appeared to be a dangerous situation ended with the seizure of a gun that turned out to be a toy.
A warning that escalated
It all began when the agents responded to a tip related to a person suffering from drug intoxication in the area of Sa Penya. During the assistance, the squad observed an individual carrying what appeared to be a firearm. The scene, which could have triggered a serious incident, was handled with caution by the police. Upon approaching the suspect, the officers verified that the weapon was an imitation and proceeded to seize it, also confirming with the individual its harmless nature.
