According to Marí Bosó, the benefits would include deductions in Corporate Tax, Personal Income Tax and Economic Activities Tax for those who promote activities of an artistic, cultural, scientific or sporting nature within the framework of the anniversary. These tax incentives seek to increase support for the celebrations, which have already received the backing of the mayor of Ibiza, Rafael Triguero.
A consortium to coordinate the anniversary
The declaration of Exceptional Public Interest would allow the creation of a consortium between the Ministry of Finance and local administrations, facilitating the organization and financing of the commemorative events. Marí Bosó pointed out that this institutional collaboration would strengthen the planning of promotional programs and cultural activities for the anniversary, boosting the projection of Ibiza nationally and internationally.

Ibiza was recognized in 1999 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO under the name Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture’, an achievement that reflected the efforts of all the island’s administrations and political groups. “This anniversary is an opportunity to continue demonstrating the historical and cultural relevance of Ibiza and ensure the collective commitment towards its preservation,” said Marí Bosó. He is confident that this initiative will have the support of all parliamentary groups and that the Spanish Government will give the green light to the project, allowing the anniversary to be celebrated with the prominence it deserves.
