The serious incident occurred this Wednesday at 16.12 hours at the entrance to the airport runway by the north barrier, reported the Emergency Medical Care Service (SAMU 061) in a statement. The airport’s medical team immediately went to the scene, and then two other medicalized units arrived to attend to the injured employee. Local police and Guardia Civil officers were also present. The victim of the accident suffered very serious injuries, and after being stabilized, he was transferred in critical condition to the Son Espases University Hospital in Palma, reported the EFE news agency.
