After the inauguration of the Christmas festivities on November 30, the City Council of Ibiza continues with the celebrations for the date. This second week will be full of music in the streets of the capital of Ibiza.
The activities will take place on December 13, 14 and 15 and there will be three specific ones that will be repeated, all of them in the Vara de Rey promenade.
Dance, music and more for Christmas in Ibiza
To begin with, the 07800 Office will be installed where people will be able to put their letters to send to Santa Claus, if they have not already done so. On Friday, the 13th, the mailbox will only be open in the afternoon (from 5pm to 8pm), while on Saturday and Sunday it will also be open in the mornings (from 11.30am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm). There will also be large bouncy castles where the little ones can jump on Friday afternoon (from 17.00 to 20.30) and the weekend also during the morning (from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.30). Finally, as this will be a Christmas to remember, there will be a photocall to take the best pictures, which will be available on all three days from 19.00 to 20.30. Apart from the aforementioned activities, on the 13th at 18.00 on the Paseo de Vara de Reywill begin the Dance Festival this Christmas where the Ibiza Dance Academy will perform several performances. Then, from 20.30, Miss Arantzazu and Joan Guasch will offer a concert in the Plaza del Parque.
Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15: pre-Christmas activities for the whole family
On Saturday, December 14, in the Paseo de Vara de Rey will be the following activities: from 10.30 to 11.30 there will be a storyteller in the Santa Claus booth, where there will also be creative workshops for children until 13.00. In addition, the Young Voices Choir will sing Christmas at the hands of its director, Lourdes Roig, accompanied on piano by Miguel San Miguel and on drums by Pedro Escandell. Finally, at 18.00 hours will be held the second day of the Dance Festival, in this case conducted by the Davínia Van Praag Dance Academy. However, the celebrations will not only be in Vara de Rey, Santa’s Band of the Road, the most rocking band of Christmas will make a traveling concert from 11.00 to 15.00, which will start in Ibiza Center and will go through Ca n’Escandell, Figueretes and end at Bossa beach. Meanwhile, in the Plaza Julià Verdera from 16.00 to 20.00 there will be a Christmas festival for the whole family with workshops, games and entertainment. Finally, in the Plaza del Parque, Leyre Ibisate will offer a concert from 20.30.
Finally, on Sunday 15, there will be creative workshops and storytelling on the Paseo de Vara de Rey between 10.30 and 13.00. From 9.30, Ibiza will start with sports activities. At 9.30 the second hiking route will be part of the program that was announced last November 14, this time by the Club de Camp. Anyone wishing to register can do so by going to the municipal swimming pools of Can Misses or Es Viver. Also, from 10.00 the Cursa de s’Indiot will be held (registrations can be made until December 12 at 23.59 through sportmaniacs.com ). And for people who want to continue enjoying the musical program, at 12.00 the City of Ibiza Choir will not only celebrate Christmas, but also its 30th anniversary, offering a concert at the Can Ventosa Cultural Center directed by Miguel San Miguel. Finally, at 18.00 the students of the Patronato de Música de Eivissa will sing and play several Christmas carols.
