Correos has installed a new Citypaq device on Ibiza Street in Sant Joan de Sant Joanreinforcing its service with an accessible and practical solution for parcel management. This innovative system, located outside the local post office, is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, becoming a key resource to improve the user experience. The Citypaq installed has three modules and 18 slots of different sizes, adapting to packages of various formats. Its functionalities include collection, delivery and returns, all without the need to wait for the letter carrier to arrive or to go to an office. According to Correos, this initiative seeks to make life easier for citizens, guaranteeing agile, secure and sustainable management of packages.
A modern and sustainable solution
In addition to providing greater convenience, Citypaq contributes to sustainability by reducing the number of delivery vehicle trips, concentrating deliveries at a single point. This system is establishing itself as an ideal option for regular e-commerce users, enabling them to manage their shipments at any time of the day. One of the most outstanding advantages of the service is the speed with which buyers pick up their packages. According to Correos data, 90% of deliveries are picked up in less than 18 hours from the time the recipient receives the notice. If the package is not picked up within five days, it is transferred to the local post office, where it will be available for an additional 15 days.
