The Dj Paula Templeone of the most recognized figures of electronic music in general and techno in particular, announced her retirement. In her Instagram account, she explained the reasons, and first thanked colleagues, fans and other people because“the last 11 years have been the best of my life“. In this, he highlighted the support of R&S Records, Gegen, and his friends in Berlin: “And now, in the last year, despite having experienced burnout, my agent and my promoters who have been very supportive”.
Reasons for Paula Temple’s retirement
“I feel an urgent need to change the rhythm of my life, to be able to have a dog, and to focus only on making music (…) my path will move away from hard techno“, he explained. And he clarified the reason for the latter: “Since covid, I feel incompatible with the direction that hard techno has taken, of a world of influencer performers“. Anyway, there are still a few dates left where many lucky ones will be able to enjoy listening to her playing: on New Year’s Eve she will be in Amsterdam, in January she will be in New York and Chicago and in February, Bogota.
