Vox announced Tuesday that it is willing to seek a pact with the PP to support the 2025 budget because the party of the Govern has been open to “negotiate ways of agreement on linguistic freedom”.
After the approval of the accounts of the executive for next year was left up in the air due to the breakdown of negotiations between the two formations last week, Vox has assured that the PP offered last night to negotiate its demands in linguistic matters, which include the equalization of Castilian with Catalan in education and in the access to the civil service. In a statement, the far-right party says that reaching an agreement in this regard is “essential” to provide the PP with the votes it needs to approve the budget. “We reiterate our full willingness to dialogue inthe framework of absolute respect for the citizens and the commitments made to them,” stresses Vox, which claims to open “a real way to end the impositions in linguistic matters and return the freedom of citizens.” Santiago Abascal’s party is committed to maintaining this position “firmly” and trusts that the PP will act “without deceit” and will not allow itself to be “intimidated by the left”.
