A fire in the Polígono de Can Bufí mobilized the Ibiza Fire Brigade in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The flames affected a parked van and caused damage to a water pipe, which generated a leak.
The rapid intervention of the Fire Department
The call came in at 2:02 a.m. and alerted about a fire in a van located in the Polígono Can Bufí. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found a fire that threatened to spread and a damaged pipe that caused a water leak. Thanks to the action of a fire engine, a corporal and three firefighters, the fire was effectively extinguished. Subsequently, the officers worked to stop the water leak, preventing further damage to the area.
Importance of coordination
The intervention was not only notable for the speed of the firefighters, but also for the coordination with other services that allowed the situation to be controlled without major complications. Although the fire was quickly controlled, extreme caution is recommended in the industrial area to avoid similar incidents. The Ibiza Fire Department, through its social networks, recalled the importance of keeping vehicles and nearby facilities in good condition to prevent incidents that could compromise safety and cause material damage.
