A 32-year-old man of Cuban origin has been arrested by the National Police in Ibiza as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of domestic abuse, breaking and entering, theft and fraud.
According to a press release, the events occurred last Wednesday morning, when the officers were patrolling the city center and saw a man “insistently knocking on the glass of a balcony, with the intention of gaining access to the interior”. Simultaneously they saw a woman rushing out of the doorway of the same building, calling for help. When interviewed, the victim, in an altered state of nervousness, stated that she had had a jealous argument with the man the day before, and that he had grabbed her by the neck and hit her. “The police officers interviewed the man who was inside the balcony, in an apparent state of nervousness and aggressiveness, which continuously changed the version of what happened, which is why they proceeded to his arrest,” reported the National Police. During the arrest and search of the individual, the agents found a credit card belonging to the victim, which the man had stolen days before, with which he made several payments without the woman’s authorization.
