Ibiza has said goodbye this Monday to Andrés García, 061 nurse and co-founder of Emergency Staff, in an emotional funeral that brought together more than a hundred people, including emergency and security colleagues, friends and family. Andrés, who passed away this Sunday at the age of 46 due to cardiac arrest, was remembered as a passionate professional and a key figure in health training on the island.
A tribute in the rain
The event took place at the Firemen’s Insular Parkwhere an aisle of applause accompanied the passing of the hearse, escorted by the rain, which added a solemn touch to the moment. The words of farewell, marked by gratitude and pain, highlighted the indelible mark that Andres leaves in the emergency community of Ibiza.
Emergency Staff, the organization he co-founded, emphasized his legacy: “His light will not be extinguished, because it lives on in each one of us and in the impact he left on so many lives. His departure leaves an immense void, not only in our organization, but also in the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know him”.
A life dedicated to saving and training
Andrés García dedicated his life to saving lives and sharing his knowledge with other health and emergency professionals.
