The Ibiza Fire Department intervened this Thursday around 12:30 pm in a fire that affected a vehicle on the EI-200 road, at the height of Can Blai, in the town of Santa Eulària. Fortunately, the two occupants of the vehicle managed to get out unharmed before the fire consumed the car.
Rapid action on site
Firefighters from the Ibiza Fire Department were on the scene with a fire engine, a corporal and three firefighters, who managed to control the fire before it spread and caused further damage.
The intervention was also supported by agents of the Guardia Civil and the Local Police of Santa Eulària, who ensured security in the area and coordinated traffic while the extinguishing tasks were being carried out.
No additional consequences
Although the vehicle was completely burned, the fire did not cause material damage to the environment or affect other people. The Ibiza Fire Department has highlighted the rapid evacuation of the occupants and the collaboration of the security forces as key factors to avoid greater risks.
