Next Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the Ibiza Town Hall will resume the asphalting works in two key points: the street of Sant Cristòfol and Sant Jordi Avenue. These interventions are part of the municipal asphalt improvement plan, which aims to ensure a safer and more comfortable circulation for citizens.
Changes in circulation
During the works in Sant Cristòfol street, it is recommended to access the city through José Zornoza Bernabeu street to minimize traffic inconveniences.
On the other hand, the works in Sant Jordi Avenue could also generate specific alterations, so drivers are invited to plan their journeys in advance.
Infrastructure investments
The third deputy mayor and councilor for Public Works and Mobility, Blanca Hernández, stressed that these actions seek to ensure proper maintenance of the pavement, reinforcing safety and comfort for drivers. As reported, the City Council has allocated more than 1.46 million euros to the repair of streets during the last four months of 2024, consolidating its commitment to the improvement of urban infrastructure.
New projects underway
The City Council has also put out to tender 1.6 million euros in four lots to continue with the resurfacing plan. Among the streets included in these projects are Paseo de Juan Carlos I, Calle del Ceramista Joan Daifa, Calle des Canar and several streets in the downtown area such as Via Punica, Via Romana and Ramón Muntaner.
