Leonardo Hotels, the brand of the Israeli hotel giant Fattal Hotels, has updated the gastronomic proposal of its establishments in Ibiza for the coming season. Thus, according to a company statement, it has recently updated two of its external restaurants on the island with a rebranding process with the aim of improving the quality of its culinary proposal. Leonardo Hotels made headlines in Ibiza last year due to campaigns and acts of vandalism by environmentalist and anti-Semitic groups based on the chain’s Israeli origin.
According to the company’s press release, the renovations seek to offer a differentiated and quality culinary proposal, capable of attracting both guests and visitors. It is the result of the optimism with which it faces the coming season due to the “excellent demand sharing”. Leonardo Hotels has closed the year 2024 with an outstanding growth in the Spanish market, reaching a total of 18 operational hotels in the country. Fattal Hotel Group, founded in 1998, has more than 282 operating hotels in Europe and Israel. With a strong presence in tourist and urban destinations, the portfolio consists of the brands Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal Hotels, Leonardo Boutique Hotels, NYX Hotels by Leonardo Hotels and Herods.
One of them was the target of the wrath of Futuro Vegetal, the environmental group that paints jets at the airport, superyachts in the port of Ibiza and enters Messi’s villa with irregularities to paint its facade. “Leonardo Hotels finances genocide” read the banner with which the activists were photographed after perpetrating their protest action. This action came weeks after Canviem el Rumb, the radical anti-tourism platform of Ibiza, among other organizations put the chain in the spotlight. The company’s hotels on the island are the NYX Hotel Ibiza (Sant Antoni), Leonardo Royal Hotel (Santa Eulària) and Leonardo Suites Hotel (Santa Eulària).
