The Trasmapi Gobycar & Citubo UD Ibiza HCE faced this Saturday against Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto for the eighth round of the División Honor Plata and lost 34-26. The home team opened the scoreboard quickly thanks to Roman Chychykalo, but the Ibizans responded with a goal by Diego Olba. During the first half, the game remained evenly matched, with continuous goal exchanges. Ismael Bendress stood out on the Trasmapi side, scoring on several occasions and keeping his team in the fight.
However, Fertiberia took advantage with goals from Matheus de Novais and Arnau Fernandez, closing the first half with a 16-11 in their favor.
An uphill second half
In the second half, the Ibizans tried to close the gap on the scoreboard with significant efforts from players like Mikel Galan and Fabio Teixeira, who showed determination on the field. Despite Trasmapi’s attempts to close the gap, Fertiberia Puerto Sagunto kept control of the game. With an outstanding performance by Arnau Fernandez, the home team consolidated their lead and closed the game with a resounding 34-26.

With this defeat, Trasmapi Gobycar & Citubo UD Ibiza HCE remains in tenth place in the standings. Now, the team from Ibiza will try to redeem themselves in the next game, where they will host Burgos.
