The new president of Formentera meets with Marga Prohens at the Consolat after the Government’s refusal to accept his investiture.

The new president of the Consell de Formentera, Óscar Portas, meets today at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Autonomous Community with Marga Prohens in the first official meeting of both leaders after the censure motion that removed the head of the former president, Llorenç Córdoba, and led to a minority government of Sa Unió, a coalition formed by the Popular Party of Formentera and Compromís, thanks to the support of GxF and PSOE.

Not a single representative of the Govern attended the Plenary Session that raised Portas to the Presidency of the Consell de Formentera. A symbolic gesture as a result of the opposition of the Popular Party to their councilors to join the initiative. In fact, from the PP of the Balearic Islands regretted that the absolute majority achieved by Sa Unió with Llorenç Córdoba at the head in May 2023 was not rebuilt. The meeting between the also president of the PP of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohens, and the militant of Compromís, Óscar Portas, will be at noon in the Consolat de Mar.
