The patron saint festivities of Santa Agnès de Corona 2025 are already underway with a program full of activities that promise to honor the traditions, culture and gastronomy of Ibiza. The area councilor of Santa Agnès de Corona, Maria Ribas, and the president of the Association of Neighbors of Corona, Maria Ferrer, presented this morning the details of the event at the Town Hall of Sant Antoni.
Tradition and local participation
Maria Ribas stressed that the program seeks to preserve the roots of the community while offering proposals for all ages. “The walk Anem de lluna i mirem-nos sa flor will be especially magical this year, as it coincides with Valentine’s Day,” she explained, thanking the involvement of neighbors and the local association in the organization.
For her part, Maria Ferrer stressed the importance of keeping traditions alive, highlighting the Festa de sa Sitja de sa Rota d’en Coca as an example of authentic culture that is attracting more and more interest, especially among young people.
Program highlights
The celebrations begin on January 20 with children’s activities, such as a drawing contest and a party for the little ones. The big day, January 21, will feature a solemn mass, procession and ball pagès, in addition to the tasting of bunyols and local wine, culminating with music by DJ Javi Box. Among the most anticipated activities is the XV Festa de sa Sitja, which will take place from February 21 to 23. This event includes exhibitions of agricultural machinery, demonstrations of traditional work and the emblematic restoration of a stone wall. There will also be cultural gatherings, popular meals and the participation of traditional music groups such as sa Colla de Sant Rafel. The program also includes sporting events, such as the night walk on February 14, departing from Sant Antoni to Santa Agnès, and the XII Cursa popular Flor d’Ametller on February 16. Results of local agricultural projects will also be presented and tributes will be paid to the community’s elders. The City Council of Sant Antoni and the Association of Neighbors of Corona have called on all residents and visitors to join this celebration, which unites tradition and modernity in a unique environment.
